“OLPC developing dual-boot Windows, Linux OS for laptops”

“San Francisco – The One Laptop Per Child Project (OLPC) and Microsoft are working together to develop a dual-boot system to put both Linux and Windows on laptops aimed at kids in developing countries, the head of OLPC said in an interview Tuesday.

Uhh… Aren’t they missing the point? The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is subsidizing this…
But why would they have to subsidize it?

BECAUSE IT’S NOT FREE

And that’s against the whole damn point.
I think the OLPC might have lost my support.

I don’t care whether or not it’s Linux – It just matters that it’s free and open. Which windows isn’t…

Thoughts?
