One of the most entertaining and pointless collections I’ve ever seen.

Look out, Chris Berman.
Somebody’s got better horrible puns than you.

The universe has been giving me signals aplenty the last few weeks… tapping out a code.

I’ve been meaning to read The Crying of Lot 49 for years, but three or four references in the last two weeks mean it’s time.

Synchronicities tend to trigger something. Especially when they involve codes, art, and Adobe.

(Side note – the Adobe building is the only one that I’ve done the “we’re not worthy” bowing motion towards. Having started on Photoshop 3, I’ve got a little allegiance…)

So as signals go,  this one was tailor made for me.

Near the birthplace of the Magna Charta and Heathrow Airport is an awe-inspiring monument to the airmen of the Commonwealth lost in World War Two.

Some good pictures over at flickr.

Pictures are fun. flickr is fun.
I can now just hit the “blog this” button and instantly make picture posts to livejournal…

And I can upload pictures to flickr from my email.

And I have email on my phone.

And my phone has a camera…

Evil will ensue.

So, the day after finishing Grant Morrison’s Seven Soldiers of Victory I run into two things…

First, a piece on NPR this morning about Disney Fairies. Said creatures – called Sheeda in the book – figure prominently into Seven Soldiers.

Then, the first post to

in almost a year – about an encounter with an Arthurian Morgana and her daughters.
While Morgana does not appear in Seven Soldiers, an Arthurian legend certainly does…
More importantly, the spirit of the Queen of the Sheeda is quite embodied in this prose poem.
Damn you Morrison, what’s your @#$% deal? That’s some serious magic.

Cryptome is literally the website the government doesn’t want you to see.

By Rudy Giuliani

“Freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.”

So now we know. He was never a social progressive – he’s merely reverting to his true self for this campaign after years of talking the talk to get elected in a progressive state.

Just as there is no such thing as an unloaded weapon, there is no such thing as a safe Republican.

I probably read and delete twenty really, really interesting bookmarks a week.
Instead of doing just that, maybe I should post them here. Enjoy.

I haven’t gotten lightheaded like this in a while. Especially over a rock and roll show. Probably never over a festival…
